Veterinary Staff
Tim Krasnansky, DVM, MA
Dr. Krasnansky received a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, Davis, a master's degree in Medical and Biological Illustration from the University of California, San Francisco, and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. He is PennHIP certified from the University of Pennsylvania. His professional interests are focused on a rational and practical approach to quality health care to family pet dogs and cats. He emphasizes keeping working dogs working in top shape, minimizing time off due to injury, illness, and lack of fitness. His personal interests are his family; his wife and two daughters, and his three retrievers and two cats. Recreational interests include just about anything outdoors away from crowds: hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, fishing and hunting with his dogs.
Dr. Jeannine Berger DVM, DACVB (Behavior)
Dr. Berger obtained her veterinary degree in 1991 in Zurich, Switzerland. After graduation she worked at the University of Zurich and in private practice before moving to Davis, California in 1998. Since then, she has completed a residency in veterinary behavior and attained board certification with the American College for Veterinary Behaviorists (2007). She continued to work for UC Davis Veterinary Behavior Medicine until November 2009. Dr. Berger focuses on strengthening the human-animal bond. She believes that most pets are as close to most owners as most human family member and she emphasizes that prevention (medically and behaviorally) is the best form of therapy. Dr. Berger wishes that more people would turn to their Veterinarian for any pet related questions they might have, because many times a slight change in behavior is the first sign of a medical problem arising. The earlier medical (or behavioral) problems can be detected the better the chance of a happy outcome.
Her professional specialty interests include anxiety and aggression problems in dogs and cats, as well as addressing both repetitive behaviors and unruly behavior problems such as jumping, barking, chewing, digging and many others.
Dr. Berger is also an internationally renowned speaker and continues to teach at UC Davis. She lives with her partner Jeff, 3 horses, 3 dogs and 3 cats in Vacaville. Her hobbies include taking the dogs on early morning walks, trail riding, hiking, skiing and wine tasting.
Tracy Hart, RVT
Tracy Hart received her RVT Associates degree from Western Career College. She has been working for Berryessa Veterinary Service since 2003, and has been our lead RVT since June of 2006. She enjoys working with both large and small animals and being involved with surgical procedures. Besides veterinary work one of her other passions is working with her parents at their cutting horse training facility, where she assists her father training horses, and helps her mother train and re-home ‘off the track’ thoroughbreds. Her other passion is her husband (who enjoys motorcycles) and daughter (who luckily wants to be like mom).
Karin Felter, RVT
Karin Felter received her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Consumnes River College in 2004. She has been a RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) with Berryessa Vet since that time. Karin has always had a love for animals; she has a wide array of pets which include three Queensland Heelers, one American Pit Bull Terrier, four Chickens, two Parakeets, a Corn Snake and a Beta fish. She loves her animals so much that Biscuit the chicken even gets acupuncture once a week. Karin enjoys sharing time with her husband in the outdoors camping and hiking with their dogs.
Paula Kramer
Paula Kramer completed her RVT Associates degree program at Western Career College earlier this summer. She is currently in the process of obtaining her state licensing as an RVT. She has always had a great love for animals, and really enjoys what she does. When she’s not working at Berryessa she is at home with her Husband and 7 year old son.
Sherry Smith-Jones
Sherry Smith-Jones has been with Berryessa since the Summer of 2006 as one of the key parts of the front office. Sherry has been on both sides of the counter, after many years as a Client she decided she needed to see where her money was going. She has her own ‘zoo’ which includes nine dogs, six cats, six horses, and two goats. We’ve had to put an adoption cap in effect for Sherry; she is our own animal rescue organization (she always wants more animals). She also enjoys showing her horses in Western Pleasure.
Glenda Riddle
Glenda Riddle and her family moved to the Vacaville area in 1989, from Southern California. After 34 years of being a Federal employee and commuting back and forth to South San Francisco she retired in January 2001. Loving the retired life, she went to work for Berryessa part-time as Customer Service Coordinator a month after retiring. Glenda is another key part of the front office. She also has a ‘zoo’ of her own which includes; horses, Labrador Retrievers, cats, a BLM burro, chickens, ducks and a small flock of sheep. Besides her animals, Glenda enjoys spending time with her husband, children (when she can) and grandchildren.
Wendy Ruff
Wendy Ruff is our Office Manager. She comes from a strong ranching background where her family raised registered Appaloosa horses and Angus Cattle. She also grew up showing not only horses and cattle, but sheep and hogs as well. Her family currently raises American Paint Horses and Queensland Heelers. Her girls are very active in the Winters 4-H and FFA Programs. They also have two cats (Cat Bob is a rescue from the clinic; Sam is just a plain cat).
